I have one hopper 50p (set adresse 4) and one coin acceptor SR5i

Thanks for the trace - it allows me to see that you're doing nothing wrong, and that the hopper in question is not following its specification.

I don't understand why the hopper isn't working, and I have a query in with MCL to ask if they have any ideas.

While we wait, it would be worth trying a different hopper if you vcan get hold of one.

Having checked with MCL, they consider the hopper to be faulty and you should return it for repair / replacement.

Hi,

Your question about hopper current is probably the correct one.

Although many hoppers will run from 12V you cannot power them from the 12V that is output from Paylink. This is fed though an auto restting fuse that will not run a hopper.

The Paylink connector provides two 24V connections to an on-board fuse that does provide enought current for a hopper.

An MCL Serial Compact Hopper is specified as requiring up to 3.6A - the Paylink 24V fuse is rated as 3A.
