Acceptor coin count problem

Post by markh51 »

We have encountered the following problem while using the latest USB paylink and firmware:

If for whatever reason the Paylink USB cable is disconnected the USBDriverStatus does not report this fact for a few seconds. If during this time the USB cable is replaced before the USBDriverStatus reports the error, the paylink recovers fine BUT the internal acceptors coin counts are reset. This is a problem for applications which store a copy of the acceptors "coin" counts as it will no-longer be valid.

What do you advise ?

We came across (and fixed) this self same bug only a few weeks ago.

You can now get the latest release from our web page http://www.aardvark.eu.com/products/milan/downloads.htm

What version fixes this problem ?

Is it just a firmware upgrade ?

Sorry for the over abbreviated reply.

If you use the latest firmware for the Paylink
"Next Release Paylink/Milan Firmware with ID-003 (1.10.9)" it clears the problem.
