Connecting devices to Paylink

Post by Vii »

Hello,

I got the following equipment:

- Paylink V4-1-12-6
- Smart Hopper
- JCM iPRO-100-SH2-RC
- Custom TG2460H - printer
- Symbol MS1207-I000R - barcode scanner

My question is: which device should i connect to which port on the Paylink? Are there any suggestions or best practices?

My initial plan is:
- SmartHoppers eSSP connector to an IF14 ( http://www.innovative-technology.co.uk/ ... ter-detail ) that goes in the ccTalk connector on the paylink
- JCM iPRO-100-SH2-RC - connect the cables to either the RJ45 or RS232 connector on the paylink
- I am not sure if paylink supports Custom TG2460H printer
- And i am pretty sure that i will have to connect the barcode scanner to the host machine and integrate them with custom software

There isn't much information on the internet about the given topic and that is why I am asking here.
So, can you please give me some hints on how i should connect the whole system.

Thanks in advance

You are basically correct.

For the smart hopper, you have to be using cctalk mode - I don't think there's any extra interface required, you just connect Tx and Tx to the cctalk data line.

RJ45 or RS232 - you can use whichever is easiest to make cables for.

Paylink provides legacy support for an RS232 only ticket printer that emulates the templates used on the "standard" Future Logic one - yours is likely different and can be connected with USB.

barcode scanner does indeed connect straight to the PC, Paylikn can do nothing usefull.
