Paylink Coin/Note Download to Lumina : doesn't work?

Post by el_es_cr »

Hi,
I am trying to download the new note definitions for Lumina note acceptor, over Paylink Lite;

Using the 4.1.10.9 Distribution, PayLink CoinNote Download this way :

- I set the encryption code for the ccTalk note acceptor (LuminaSerial.exe) to the appropriate code;

- the AESWDriver shows the note acceptor has been detected

- so is the MilanDiag program

- the Demo program runs, the note acceptor actually works (doesn't
accept new notes however)

1. When the AESWDriver program is running, the PaylinkDownloadWin.exe
application reports thread stopped (status 0), termination status 5
(NOT_RESPONDING), Download status 14 (RELEASE_BUS), immediately after pushing the button that is supposed to initialize the download;

2. If the PaylinkDownloadWin.exe is started with NO AESWDriver.exe in
the background, the download fails (thread_stopped, 0) with termination
status 3 (Open_interface_failed), and download status 2 (opening_interface).

3. if I start AESWDriver, then try to download the definitions, which
fails (see above, 1.), then if I close the AESWDriver, BUT leave the
PaylinkDownloadWin.exe open, and try downloading again, the 'Start
Download' button goes grey, thread status stops at 1 (thread_running),
download status stops at 5 (requesting_bus) and termination status is 9
(download_not_finished).

4. If I start the aeswdriver.exe now, the Lumina starts blinking green
leds, and the download fails as above (1.)

I'm sorry, but the code that supports note downloads was one of the items that had to be removed from Paylink Litye to fit the code into the low cost platform.

If you want to do note downloads, you'll have to use a full Paylink.

Thanks,
and also the Lumina in question when I posted it to MCI, they said it was very old and ithat the note data upload wouldn't work on that one as well, and they kindly replaced it for a new one.

Thanks,
