Paylink Lite : different code for note reader

Post by el_es_cr »

Hello,

a quick question before I start experimenting : does the Paylink Lite support changing the code for encrypted operation of note acceptor via ccTalk ?

I mean, I can change this code with the manufacturer's interface, is it then enough to run LuminaSerial to let the Paylink Lite know it ?

(I wouldn't ask, but the manual (and the reply I got from you last time) lists the users EEPROM area on Paylink as Paylink only (not Lite) feature, and I fear this is related...)

Thanks in advance

Lukasz

So the scheme looks to be :
- set the different enc code to the note acceptor at any machine
- LuminaSerial.exe needs to be run on the target machine (is it saving this information somewhere ?)

Sorry for the delay - we've been off over Christmas.

The Paylink Lite has small amount of eprom which it uses for the "system" data - which includes the cctalk note encryption key. The full Paylink has more eprom, so makes some it available for users.

Ayou've robably now dicovered, You need to run LuminaSerial with each Paylink connected to update the Eprom on that Paylink.
