RS232 port. (GPT connection)

Please can you supply the technical manual for the Milan interface, in particular the pin assignments of the diagnostic port for wiring to a GPT note acceptor, as I cannot it from your website.

Will the GPT only work with version 1.9.2 of the firmware as I cannot get it to work with a cable supplied by a third party, hence the request for the pin outs so that the cable can be checked.

Craig,

This attached is a description of the RJ-45 connector on the PCI card. If you need details on the GPT end, let me know and I'll dig out my test unit and have a look at it!

The GPT acceptor is only handled by the 1.9.2 firmware, I trust you've got the release notes. Especially you need to note the part about adding a jumper to the Milan card to specify that the RS232 protocol is for GPT.

If you use the latest Milan diagnostics and reset the card, one of the initial lines output is the decision as to the protocol to be used - until that says GPT you're going nowhere!
