High power outputs from Milan Board

Post by Antony »

We intend to use your Milan board, but we want to drive some filament lamps, which require much more power than you outputs are specified form.

Do you have any options available.

We do have a prototype / low volume driver board available in sample quantites that uses high power FETs suitable for driving Lamps / Relays.

Im interested in this lamp driver daughter board (I've also thought of a few more questions !!).

1) Are the outputs from the lamp board current sources or sinks?
2) What is the current rating of each output?
3) How does the daughter board plug into the main PCI card (is it via J7/J8
switch connectors).
4) Will we be able to use all 8 switches on J7, as well as using the lamps,
i.e. using all 16 In / Out.

If you can let me know the answers to the first 2 questions, then I will be
able to get my looms drawn up.
I still need answers to the other 2 questions, but not as urgently.

1/ These are current sinks - the FET short the inputs to ground.
2/ For each input, we use a ZVN4206GTA through a 0.5A polyfuse.
This give 60V with a maximum short duration pulse current of 8A.
3/ Yes - the daughter board plugs into J8
4/ Yes - J7 is still available for inputs
