JCM UBA-10 or ARDAC Problems with paylink due to ID-003

Post by venecolopc »

Good morning, greetings, let me introduce myself, my name is Johan.

I am having problems connecting a JCM UBA-10 bill acceptor with protocol id-003 to the paylink, I have also connected an Ardac and neither of them recognize the paylink device.

-As I have another paylink that I am using, I first connected the JCM UBA-10 or the ardac and both work without a problem, but not on that paylink, the paylink turns the LED from red to green which makes me understand that it works but it does not enable the bill acceptor for protocol id003.

-Would an update to the paylink firmware be necessary? I have already had a bad experience. The first paylink that came into my hands, I tried to update and it became unusable. I did this out of curiosity. That paylink arrived and worked fine. I am afraid of doing it wrong again.

I hope you can help me please, one additional thing with the other paylinks that I have managed without problems when connecting any of these bill acceptors, they make a particular sound that I call reel, as I have other paylinks, as soon as I connect the bill acceptor, it makes this sound. It tells me that the bill acceptor has been enabled, but in the paylink of the problem the bill acceptor does not make that sound

Hi,

It sounds as though you have a collection of old Paylink units. There are hardware compatible with the latest firmware, but you may have problems updating the old ones and then running them.

The latest firmware releases require a driver that process a configuration file, usually called "Standard.cfg"

If your system uses such a driver and configuration file, then you might get results loading the latest firmware http://aardvark.eu.com/downloads/softwa ... -12-15.zip into the Paylink.

Good Luck

-Good evening, greetings, thank you very much for responding, ok I took the time to review the file that is generated for me once I connect the paylink and indeed there is a file called paylink.cfg, this file contains these parameters inside:

Protocol ID003 on connector RJ45 With Acceptor.

-Now within the paylink.log file I have obtained this data, if it helps to identify the problem I would appreciate it:

The paylink es APCUSBXX00007.

-With the other paylinks that do accept the bill acceptor, I have obtained the following data:

16:47:05.453 Acc: ID-003 Note Enable
16:47:05.453 DP: ID-003 Note Status to 20

These paylinks that do enable bill acceptors are also es APCUSBXX00007

You think I can update the firmware on this paylink, it seems to me that the problem lies there, but I don't know how to do it. The last time I tried to do one, the paylink stopped working.

Hi,

The Paylink with a problem is running a testing release so that is possibly the problem.

The closest firmware to both the Paylinks you're running is http://aardvark.eu.com/downloads/softwa ... -10-15.zip

I make no guarantees, but you might find that downloading that works.

Good afternoon, greetings, thank you very much for the guidance. Use the firmware
GenoaID003V4-1-10-6 and now if you recognize any bill accepting ID0003 protocol, thank you very much
