Hello Dave,
I'm sorry to bother you but I'm slightly confused
What is the current recommended Paylink
Lite firmware update version (Linux based OS)?
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Unfortunately the Standard Paylink Lite is fixed at 4-1-10-8, the units were pre-programmed when that was the current version.
There is now a similar sized Paylink Lite 2 unit available for Intel PC Linux, that has the same single comms channel but more I/O, this runs the code on the Linux unit itself, and so can use the latest release.

So, I should not bother to check/update firmware?
Also, is it possible to change serial number on the Paylink Lite device?
Is there a Linux equivalent of "(Windows) PaylinkSerial utility"?
BTW, is there some EOL date for Paylink Lite?

1/ Correct, the only firmware is 4-1-10-8.
2/ The Paylink Lite uses the standard FTDI chip, so the Windows PaylinkSerial program will update them - we do not have a Linux equivalent.
3/ I don't know about EOL - It is really up to Crane PI.
Regards
Dave
