How to connect F53 to Paylink

Post by darkdalo »

Hi, i'm new here. We are working on a interface to integrate some old ATM hardware to our parking payment software. The old hardware includes a Fujitsu F53 bill dispenser with two cassettes, an Ardac Elite bill validator, some hoppers and a Paylink interface, but the F53 was connected directly to the CPU via RS232 and not through the Paylink.

As i've read the technical info, pdfs, and manuals available at your website, the interface is compatible with either F53 and F56, but so far i was unable to find any reference about how to physically connect the F53 to the Paylink Interface via Rs232.

Is that even possible?? or i misunderstand the info?

If it is possible, i will appreciate if you can help us with a simple diagram to make the connection, so we can control the F53 dispenser through your excellent Paylink interface.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

There are two RS232 connections on a Paylink: the RJ45 connector next to the cctalk one, and the 7 pin Molex KK between the two I/O connectors.

You can use either one on the "Protocol F53" line in the standard.cfg file.

(The connector pin outs are in the Paylink Manual you should have received from CPI.)
