1. Can the paylink be used without being connected to a PC? There is talk in the forum about coding for usb status when removed?
2. Can paylink be used as the master or vmc? Says on the documents no but in the forum I believe I read yes?
3. Does the paylink work with standard mdb devices or just money control equipment? MEI bill acceptors, USAtech eport cc system... all standard mdb devices? The documents say it works with MEI, Coinco tube changers what about other stuff? Sales rep said just moneycontrol stuff?
4. Are there different models to purchase of the paylink? Reading the forum I read about one with harnesses? Are there other accessories also?
I did talk to a sales person at moneycontrol/crane I also read some of the forum and documents I promise!

Sorry this reply has taken so long, I've only just noticed the post.
1. Paylink can only be used with a PC. If the e-mail me, we could talk about building an embedded solution for you.
2. With MDB, the Paylink allows the PC program to act as the VMC, to talk to a coin changer or a bill acceptor. (There is a firmware build available that allows the PC program to act as a peripheral to a standard MDB VMC.)
3. Paylink will work with peripherals from anyone.
4. In general Paylink is expected to be a volume product, with the purchaser creating their own cables. Money Control do sell a development kit which include cables, but this is expensive.
