Hello
I have some money Controls note acceptors recognized as "MCL WACS" by the paylink. They were working fine, until i flashed my paylink with a newer firmware (Firmware Release Type: Full,
Firmware Code Version: 1.11.9). Now they are not "seen" by the paylink anymore, and a lot of rubbish output appear in the AESWDriver program. Other devices (MCL SR5, Coinco Hoppers on ccTalk hub) are working fine.
I have tried to flash with all types of firmwares available in the package ( GenoaV4-1-11-9.exe, GenoaArdacV4-1-10-15.exe, etc) without success.
Where can i find a "MCL WACS enabled" version of 1.11.9 paylink firmware?
Thanks

Re: MCL_WACS paylink support
Hi,
There is a limit to how much code we can incorporate in the Paylink, and the decision was taken that we would remove automatic support for the WACS / Ardac 2 protocol.
The up-coming version of Paylink (4.1.12.x) will not support WACS, but the 1.11.x series will continue to provide support for legacy systems.
You can download a suitable build of 4.1.11.9 with WACS / Ardac 2 support from here http://www.aardvark.eu.com/downloads/so ... 1-11-9.zip

Hello Dave
Thank you for your answer; we tested the new firmware image on site and it still does not work; i see no difference between now and before. The denomination of the note acceptor is "ARDAC 5", did the image you posted included it?

Re: MCL_WACS paylink support
Hi,
MCL produced two devices under the heading ARDAC, they both used the same hardware chassis.
one was Ardac 2 - this was the oldest, and used a protocol called WACS,
the other was Ardac5 - this used a protocol called ID-003.
So....... you've either got an Ardac 2, running WACS or an Ardac 5 running ID-003. (The firmware label including Ardac is WACS, the other is labelled ID003.)
Do you still have access to a Paylink that will run with your note accepter. If you do, you can run MilanDiag and click the version button to find out exactly what it is!

Many apologies. The version I pointed you at before only had half the updates made.
The version at http://www.aardvark.eu.com/downloads/so ... 1-11-9.zip (the same place) with a datestamp of 17 Nov 2012 should work for you.
