AES USB Driver Problems

Post by andreIsGold »

Hello Dave,
I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I'm having problems when I close (and then restart) the USB Driver while my application is running. When I call the EnableInterface function and then I close the driver, then I open the USB Driver again and the paylink is as the initial status, that is, the green light flashing instead of green ON. Could you advise me some steps (actions) to follow when there is a problem with the USB Driver? Do I have to initialize all again when the driver restarts?

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

Firstly, you should never need to close the USB Driver ever. Even if you do decide not to keep it running always, you should not close it while your application is running.

If you have problems that seem to need you to restart the driver, then you should be able to overcome them using the latest versions - the latest beta is available as a pre-release at: ftp://aesoffice.eu.com/FTPSpace/3-1-10- ... ibution_CD .

If you are still suffereing problems, then please send me a log. This can be done by either using the MilanDiag.exe utility - which captures and displays the real-time log, or by providing a log file path as a parameter to the driver.
