iPRO-RC with paylink - routing notes to recycler
Hello,
We are using iPRO-RC note acceptor with recycler. Version 4.1.12.12 contains bug which sometimes prevents recycler from dispensing bank notes. That is why we have updated Paylink's FW to 4.1.12.14 version. Unfortunately this version prevents routing notes from acceptor to recycler at all. You have written in release notes, that version 4.1.12.13 has contained this bug, but it still exists in .14 version.
Please help us in resolving both issues.
Thanks,
Marcin

Re: iPRO-RC with paylink - routing notes to recycler
Hi,
I'm very surprised to hear this, the 4.1.12.14 routing code is supposed to be the same as for 4.1.12.12 Can you post a log which shows you setting up the routing to send the notes to the recycler and the result when you insert one of those notes.
Ideally can you also post the log of the same exercise under 4.1.12.12
Thanks
Dave

Re: iPRO-RC with paylink - routing notes to recycler
Thanks for reply. Unfortunately we will be possible to get logs in few days. For now I can say, that error occured after upgrading from .12 to .14 and no other changes have been made to our setup. On .12 we had notes routed to recyclers, we have then upgraded FW to .14 and then notes have been routed to end-cassette.

Hi,
We've just done regression testing on the iPro with 4.1.12.14 in our lab, and it worked perfectly, which makes your problem really perplexing.
There is some difference between your setup and our lab, so we will have to examine your logs to find out what / where.

Re: iPRO-RC with paylink - routing notes to recycler
Hello,
I have noticed that notes are being routed correctly indeed, but unfortunately there still exists other bug:
When dispensing from lower iPRO-RC's recycler everything always works fine. But when dispensing from upper recycler sometimes it is not dispensed and Paylink's LastPayStatus function returns 1 all the time until waiting some time and reopening Paylink's interface. This issue occurs maybe in 1 on 5 times, sometimes few times in a row and sometimes 50 times in a row everything is fine.
How can we resolve this issue?

Re: iPRO-RC with paylink - routing notes to recycler
Hi,
That is very weird. For this and any other problems I can only help if you send me a log covering the time at which the problem occurred.
The standard Standard.cfg creates a log file called "Paylink.log" in the default folder.
If you can post the part of the log that covers about 5 minutes before the fault occurred and 2 minutes after (and ideally including working and non-working attempts) l can help to find out what the problem is.
Regards
Dave

Re: iPRO-RC with paylink - routing notes to recycler
Hello, problem still occurs randomly, still only with upper recycler. When we change 10 PLN with 20 PLN then 20 PLN does not rok properly, so it is for sure connected with recycler, not note value.
Other observation: note is not being returned in first transaction, but is returned in next.
With lower recycler everything works fine.
Here are logs from transactions (10 PLN returned in next transaction but was meant to be returned in first):

Hi,
I’ve been checking the Paylink log that you posted, and I am very confused by what is going on, the PC data and the Paylink data appear to have become unsynchronized.
The diagnostic log does not record everything, from what it has recorded I can see the following:
You repeatedly issued a precise pay for one note, from the dispenser corresponding to box 1.
It appears that the PC side thought this was for a box containing €10 notes, and so the total payout would be for €10, but at the Paylink side the box in question was regarded as containing €20 notes and so the payout failed as it couldn’t payout such a low value.
The last payout seems to be a precise pay for one note from the other box. At this point the PC side thought this was for a box containing €20 notes, and so the total payout would be for €20, but at the Paylink side the box in question was regarded as containing €10 notes and so that was actually paid out, even though the unit was still confused.
The only way I can see to create this would be to call WriteDispenserDetails with the Status field set to DISPENSER_REASSIGN_VALUE - is there any chance that you do this? (This is not how to change to value of the notes for a note recycler dispenser)
Regards
Dave
P.S. For the period 09:43:09.071 to 09:45:10.741 Paylink reports that your application has called WriteDispenserDetails for each dispenser on the system, with the Status field to DISPENSER_UPDATE_COUNT (110) and the CoinCount field set to -26824
The cctalk hoppers ignore this, but the ID003 driver attempts to set this into the iPro, which unsurprisingly rejects the command. The driver cannot handle this rejection and so repeatedly tries again.

Re: iPRO-RC with paylink - routing notes to recycler
Thanks for reply.
We are using:
And how to set number of notes in recycler properly?
Thanks!
How to set specific note to one part of recycler then?The only way I can see to create this would be to call WriteDispenserDetails with the Status field set to DISPENSER_REASSIGN_VALUE - is there any chance that you do this? (This is not how to change to value of the notes for a note recycler dispenser)
We are using:
Code: Select all
if (TheDispenser.UnitAddress == 1) {
TheDispenser.Value = 1000;
} else if (TheDispenser.UnitAddress == 2) {
TheDispenser.Value = 2000;
}
TheDispenser.Status = DISPENSER_REASSIGN_VALUE;
Thanks!
Re: iPRO-RC with paylink - routing notes to recycler
Hi,
You need to read the System Manual - download from http://aardvark.eu.com/downloads/docume ... Manual.pdf
There is a chapter on "Complex Dispenser (Recycler) Operations" which covers all of this, specifically the section Routing Control.
The value of a Dispenser on a recycler is set by the bills that are routed to go into it, so if you specify that the bills value 1000 are routed to dispenser1 that implies that dispenser 1 holds bills of value 1000
A further section "JCM UBA & iPro Recycler" discusses how to set the bill count if you manually insert bills into a dispenser.

Dave

Thank you, these instructions indeed helped.
