pci drivers

Post by dmpdiscos »

hello,
ive recently acquired an old swp cabinet that i am attempting to repurpose into something more usable to me, the cab came with all of the hardware and coin mechs etc aswell as the computer (motherboard is long since dead on this) with a old milan pci interface which appears to work, im wondering if you still have drivers available anywhere for these as the new paylink driver does not appear to recognise it and i have a pci bridge device with no drivers installed showing on computer.

only planning on using the cab for very basic use as a selfie booth so not really wanting to upgrade the card for the very light use it will get

hello,
yes ive managed to get the card working it appears now using a 32bit version of windows - cant get it running on 64bit at all though.

next question i have is the coin acceptor is a sr5i which does not appear to support the new british £1 coin, does anyone happen to know where i can get a new coin definition to add support as i know it can be done. all other coins register and sort now which is basicly all i need to continue my project

You won't get 64 bit to work, the PCI card pre-dates the general use of 64 code.

I'm sorry, but i can't help on the SR5i, I don't even know whether they produced a new definition.

You could try getting a more modern cctalk acceptor.

I have no idea, we're not concerned with that side of things!

not a problem - actually while your around i need one more piece of help
trying to setup the standard cfg file but keep getting errors.

only two cctalk(or serial not sure) devices are the sr5i and a serial compact hopper mk3 but paylink is not even seeing the hopper presently? their is power to it as far as i can see but that seems to be all. not massivley bothered about it as machine will likely never do payouts again but if i can get it working then better still

The PCI card pre-dates Standard,.cfg - it's not used.

The unit should scan all the possible hopper addresses for a hopper - its your 24V supply OK?
