Electrical Data for J7-J8 pins

Post by carlose »

I have a pair of questions about the electrical characteristics of the J7-J8 pins:
- In mode Input, what is the exact meaning of the Minimum and Threshold voltage, so, if that input is active high, is it "1" between 6-12 V and "0" under 6V?
- The currents in either the inputs or outputs are source (from inside the card) or sink (suplied by the device connected to the pin)

Input and output circuits are very similar, and are designed specficially to connect to switches or LEDs.

In both caes active circuitry on the card is used to contect 12v through a 180 ohm resistor to the pin to either light an LED or to detect a switch.

As an input, a closed switch is registered if the voltage falls below 6v and open switch if it is above this.
