Problems with door switch

Post by venecolopc »

Good afternoon greetings Mr. David, I have the following problem with the paylink, as I indicate in the image if these pins are connected it gives me a closed door, right? Now when we disconnect them the door in theory should open, but it doesn't, even if the pins are not connected the door remains closed. When connecting pin 7 with 1-2 (Ground) the door closes, if you disconnect them the door opens. Now from one moment to another if you disconnect them the door does not open, it remains closed. I have already tried updating the paylink and the problem continues. My question is if the problem is with an electronic component of the paylink?

Hi,

I am not sure what connections you have made.

The switch inputs have a ground / earth pin nearby so as to make the connection of a switch easy.

Pins 1 & 2 on connector 12 correspond to input 8, if you connect the two pins together then input 8 should immediately register closed, if you remove the connection they should immediately register open.

An easy way to check the functioning of the Paylink system is to use the "Demo" program that forms part of the Windows release.

If the Demo program does not show the system reacting, then the electronics for connector 12 are faulty. You should find that using the pins on connector 10 shows the system still working.
