Supported hoppers

Post by Rich »

Is a Money Controls Mk4 Unencrypted hopper supported by the Milan board? Can't get our software to recognise this hopper, although swapping in an alternative hopper (Money Controls Serial Compact, I think) into the same machine is fine.

I don't recognise the name "Money Controls Mk4 Unencrypted Hopper".

If it is old enough, then it will use a slightly different protocol, which we've only just started supporting in 3.1.10.1 (in the latest download).

There is a MilanDiag program available. If you leave the hopper disconnected while you reset everything, then start MilanDiag and then attach the hopper, the firmware will output messages if it finds the hopper and these should be basically understandable.

I would expect the messages to end up repeating some sort of unrecognised response message.

Ok, thanks - admit I'd never heard of it either. Forwarded your reply - and MilanDiag - to the engineer requesting it.
