Paylink and power

Post by Nathan »

We would like to use the PayLink with other devices from CPI and JCM together.

I have seen that all other devices use 24V but the PayLink is specified for 12V.

Is it possible to use the PayLink with 24V?

Hi,

For the current hardware, all the Paylink internals are power from the USB connection, there's no need for 12V or 24V, Paylink will run happilly just with the USB connection.

The 2 pin 12V connection is internally routed through a 3A fuse to some of the I/O connectors for convenience in connecting and powering peripherals. There will be no problem if you use 24V there, or you can just run the power to the peripherals independently of Paylink.

There is also a separate 3A fuse labelled as 24V available on the cctalk connector, the two 24V pins there are only connected to this fuse.
