Yes.

In the configuration file (Standard.cfg), you just have to specify:

Code: Select all

Protocol EBDS on Connector RS232 With Recycler and Escrow
Paylink then provides a number of facilities relating to handling accepting a number of bills and possibly returning them. These are described starting on page 35 of the system manual (http://aardvark.eu.com/downloads/docume ... Manual.pdf)

Hi Dave,

Thank you for the reply, and I have some further questions for banknote escrow function.

1. From which version of Paylink FW can support SCR MNE escrow function? Currently, we are using v.4.1.12.9.
2. If we need to upgrade Paylink FW to the latest version, are those applications developed based on v.4.1.12.9.
compatible with v.4.1.12.12.
3. Can Paylink Demo application support multi-note Escrow function for SCR advance?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

1/ The SCR in MNE mode has been supported since 4.1.12.8

2/ In general the latest version of Paylink includes all the facilities of earlier versions and is completely backwards compatible with applications, and will have had some bugs fixed. There is always the possibility that an introduced minor bug is not picked up by our regression testing, so we never recommend moving a live system to the latest.

Where you are undertaking a significant development effort, and hence will be doing your own regression testing, we would always recommend moving to the latest version.

3/ The Demo program automatically detects that a device supporting extended escrow is available, and display a set of fields to display and control the extended escrow system.

Hi Dave,

Is it possible not to use "Escrow" function on MEI SCR MNE?
That is, I would like to use "AcceptorBlock" to control.

If yes, what setting/ configuration should I set for?

Hi,

So far as I know the multi-note escrow functtionality is built into the SCR. If you don't want to use it you have to change the SCR firmware. CPI should be able to help you here.

You could always essentially disregard the Esceow by arranging thatt your code stacks every note as it is read?
